El chileno Mauricio Isla es nuevo refuerzo de Independiente
El futbolista chileno Mauricio Isla es nuevo refuerzo de Independiente, llega como jugador libre y firmó contrato por 18 meses, con cláusula en diciembre 2023 para rescindir de parte de ambos lados.
Isla tuvo un último paso por Universidad Católica de Chile, en donde jugó 12 partidos en la última temporada. A sus 35 años, el lateral derecho se entrenó esta tarde junto a sus compañeros del plantel en el predio de Villa Domínico.
El futbolista ganó dos veces la Copa América con Chile, una Copa Libertadores con Flamengo y 5 títulos con la Juventus de Italia.
El «Rojo» será el noveno club para Isla, quien pasó por Udinese, Cagliari y Juventus de Italia, Queens Park Rangers de Inglaterra, Olympique de Marsella de Francia, Fenerbahce de Turquía, Flamengo de Brasil y Universidad Católica de Chile.
En este mercado de pases, Independiente ya incorporó a Federico Mancuello (ex Puebla de México), Alexis Canelo (ex Quilmes, proveniente de Tijuana de México) y Felipe Aguilar (ex Lanús). Con la llegada del jugador chileno y la vuelta del préstamo de Lucas González, ya son cinco los refuerzos que tiene a sus ordenes Ricardo Zielinski.
Antes del comienzo de la Copa de la Liga Profesional, Independiente jugará frente a Central Córdoba de Santiago del Estero por los 16avos. de final de la Copa Argentina, el próximo martes a las 21.30 horas en el estadio Mario Alberto Kempes de Córdoba.
El «Rojo» comenzará la Copa de la Liga Profesional como local contra Colón de Santa Fe por la Zona 1, un torneo en el que debe buscar la permanencia en Primera División tras una mala campaña en el torneo jugado durante el primer semestre, que tuvo a River como campeón.
